OpTic Texas, Paris Gentle Mates and LA Thieves posted quarterfinal sweeps, while FaZe Vegas also advanced to the semifinals of the Call of Duty League's Stage 4 Minor on Saturday.
All 12 CDL teams are competing in the tournament, which will reward $20,000 and 30 CDL points to the champion. The single-elimination bracket is seeded based on teams' standing following the Stage 3 Major. All matches are best-of-five until the final on Sunday, which will be best-of-seven.
Facing the Riyadh Falcons, Texas rolled to victory with wins on Scar Hardpoint (250-136), Sake Search and Destroy (6-2) and Exposure Overload (4-1).
Paris followed suit against Toronto KOI, posting victories on Colossus Hardpoint (250-148), Den Search and Destroy (6-5) and Den Overload (4-3).
With wins on Colossus Hardpoint (250-206), Sake Search and Destroy (6-5) and Den Overload (6-2), LA took down G2 Minnesota to advance.
Vegas fell behind twice against the Vancouver Surge before winning the last two stages to secure the victory.
Vancouver jumped out to the lead with a 250-231 victory on Scar Hardpoint before Vegas knotted the match 6-5 on Raid Search and Destroy. Vancouver then moved within a win of advancing by taking Exposure Overload 3-2, but Vegas posted back-to-back wins on Gridlock Hardpoint (250-227) and Gridlock Search and Destroy (6-1) to advance.
