The American Athletic Conference announced the postponement of Wednesday's matchup between SMU and Tulane.
The AAC cited "positive COVID-19 cases and the ensuing contact tracing of student-athletes at Tulane." No information regarding a rescheduled date was announced.
This is the third straight game that has been postponed for the Mustangs (7-2, 3-2), whose games at Memphis on Jan. 14 and against visiting Wichita State on Jan. 17 were affected following a positive COVID-19 case and ensuing contact tracing at the school.
Next up for SMU is a trip to UCF on Saturday, while Tulane (6-4, 1-4) is scheduled to play at Tulsa also on Saturday.
--The AAC announced that Wednesday's matchup between Cincinnati at Temple is postponed due to positive COVID-19 cases and subsequent contact tracing within the Bearcats' program.
The announcement marks Cincinnati's third straight game that has been postponed due to COVID-19 issues. The Bearcats (3-7, 1-4) were scheduled to host East Carolina on Jan. 13 and visit Tulane on Jan. 16 but paused team activities for a week. The game vs. Tulane was rescheduled for Feb. 26, but the league has not posted a makeup date for the matchup vs. Temple.
Temple (3-3, 2-3) next travels to South Florida for a matchup Jan. 27. Cincinnati's next scheduled game is Saturday vs. No. 8 Houston.
--In the Mid-American Conference, Northern Illinois has paused its program for a minimum of seven days, forcing the postponement of at least two games, including Tuesday night's contest against Ohio.
NIU (2-10, 1-6) said its game against the Bobcats (7-6, 3-4) was "postponed due to roster issues with the NIU men's basketball team related to positive COVID-19 tests and subsequent contact tracing."
The Huskies' upcoming game Saturday against Buffalo has also been postponed.
--The Atlantic Coast Conference announced that Wednesday's matchup between Boston College and No. 12 Virginia Tech has been postponed.
"The postponement follows a positive test, subsequent quarantining and contact tracing within the Boston College men's basketball program," the ACC said in a statement on social media, adding that "the team is adhering to the outlined protocols within the ACC Medical Advisory Group report."
No makeup date has been announced. The Hokies (11-2, 5-1) are set to play at Syracuse on Saturday, while the Eagles (3-10, 1-6) are scheduled to host Pittsburgh also on Saturday.
