CALAMBA CITY, Laguna, March 27 (PIA) --The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) CALABARZON has released a total of P3,660,000.00 for the P5,000 cash aid for workers in the private sector temporarily displaced by the implementation of the Luzonwide enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) to contain the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID)-19.
About 732 workers from 32 private establishments in CALABARZON are the 1st batch of beneficiaries of the cash aid granted thru the COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP), a safety net program of the government to cushion the effect of ECQ to workers in private establisments that adopted flexible work arrangement (FWA) or temporary closure.
"We are really fast tracking the processing of applications for CAMP to give financial support as soon as possible to workers whose companies either implemented FWAs or had to close temporarily due to the government's lockdown order to stop the spread of COVID-19," DOLE IV-A Regional Director Henry John S. Jalbuena said.
The financial assistance, according to Jalbuena, will be directly released to the employees' payroll account through bank transfer while for cash payroll, it shall be received through money remittance.
All affected workers in private establishments regardless of their status: permanent, probationary, and contractual are entitled to the CAMP P5,000 cash aid.
Documentary requirements such as application form, fully accomplished Establishment Report Form (ERF), and company payroll for the month of February 2020 or earlier must be submitted thru email to the DOLE provincial offices nearest to your location.
